The SIAD Group (Società Italiana Acetilene e Derivati) and OICCE (Interprofessional Organization for the Communication of Knowledge in Enology - Canelli) kick off the fifth edition of the International Prize dedicated to promoting research for the innovation of technical gases in viticulture and oenology.

Technical gases in viticulture and oenology represent an important tool for the achievement of the highest quality of wine and the new ways for their possible uses are constantly evolving.

The Prize, annually, is open to university researchers, technicians, students, companies, consortia and those who submit research projects that have as their object the innovative use of nitrogen, carbon dioxide, argon and oxygen throughout the entire wine/wine sector.

The Prize provides for a contribution of six thousand euros and a SIAD Medal to a single candidate or a group of candidates who submit an innovative research project at any stage of the development cycle and will be awarded by OICCE in collaboration with SIAD during an event organised in the first half of 2024.

To participate in the Prize, which is addressed to the international community, a description of the project must be sent, up to two typed folders, in double copy: one in the original language and one in English.

The projects will be evaluated by a jury composed of seven members identified among Italian and international teachers and technicians.

Applications must be submitted to the Committee Presidency and sent by e-mail to submission_siadprize@siad.eu by 29 February 2024. Each candidate will receive a confirmation of participation in the selection by 29 March 2024.
