The 30th edition of TAROPAK, the international packaging and labeling trade fair, will take place from September 26 to 29 at the Exhibition Center in Poznan, Poland. Alongside the section dedicated to logistics, TAROPAK 2016 will be exhibiting machinery and technologies for all types of packaging: from paper to glass, plastic and even metal.
Organized every two years, this fair has 13,000 sqm of exhibition space and will be featuring 500 exhibitors and 130 foreign delegations; more than 60,000 visitors are expected, including 6% coming from Italy.
According to statistics published on the trade fair’s website, Poland has been one of the largest markets in Europe in the packaging sector during the last 20 years : the product packaging average is up from 1.3 million tonnes in 1998 to 4.1 in 2010, an increase of 300%, and the subsequent years continued this trend. In 2010, the packaging consumption in Poland amounted to € 157 per capita and currently the Polish packaging market is valued at 1.3% of the global market in this sector.
SIAD Macchine Impianti will be at TAROPAK 2016 exhibiting VITO, the compressor range specifically designed for blow-molding PET bottles and containers. A few months after its second “birthday”, VITO has gained the confidence of the market: numerous VITO compressors have been installed, with excellent prospects for the future, not only in the mineral water market but also with producers of milk, soft drinks and other liquids. Given the high demand in the international markets, SIAD Macchine Impianti recently set up the mass production of this new compressor, whereas the range of smaller compressors is in the testing phase.
