PET Power Container, a Canadian PET containers manufacturing company, decided in November last year to expand its blow molding plant to manufacture larger containers (click here to read the article).

In order to check the general conditions of the plant, it was necessary to perform a preliminary audit that was carried out by CRU AIR + GAS in the person of our Canadian agent Shannon de Souza. This audit pointed out, amongst other things, a malfunction of the two compression systems which were in use.

For this reason, it was decided to integrate into the company's production line a VITO 1330 compressor whose installation, according to De Souza’s estimates, would have resulted in an annual energy saving of 534,239 kWh which (at an energy cost of 0.10 $/kWh) amounts to about $ 53,424.   In reality, the installation of the machine has allowed the company to achieve energy savings of 740,100 kWh , way above the estimate.  as stated on the certificate issued to PET Power Container by a well-known Canadian electricity distribution company.

Recently at a trade exhibition, Paul Saltz, the Vice President of PET Power Containers , stated :  "I am very pleased with the performance of the VITO compressor: we have further increased production reaching unexpected results. SIAD Macchine Impianti and CRU AIR + GAS have done an excellent job respecting installation times and monitoring the plant even in the days following the start-up. Even today, for any eventualities, I know that I can count on a timely and efficient after sales service".
