SIAD Engineering (Hangzhou) Co., Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of SIAD Macchine Impianti S.p.A, Bergamo, Italy, is pleased to announce the award of an order for a 270 tpd air separation unit (ASU) from Iwatani Industrial Gases for their complex at Jiaxing, Zhejiang, China. The plant will produce liquid oxygen, nitrogen and argon for Iwatani’s growing industrial gases business in China. SIAD Engineering (Hangzhou) will provide the ASU on an EPC basis with the plant scheduled to be in full operation in first half of next year.

The design, engineering of the ASU, and procurement of equipment will be accomplished at the SIAD Engineering (Hangzhou) engineering center with key components manufactured at the Company’s factory in Deqing County, Zhejiang Province. Installation of the ASU will be in partnership with a local design and construction firm.

This is the second merchant liquid ASU the Company has supplied to Iwatani, and highlights the preference by independent industrial gases companies for ASUs designed and manufactured by SIAD. SIAD Macchine Impianti and subsidiaries have supplied over 500 ASUs worldwide with many of them delivered to other independent industrial gases companies. With nearly 100 years of extensive experience in the industrial gases industry, SIAD Group understands the unique needs of the independent industrial gases companies as SIAD owns and operates ASUs in Italy and certain Eastern Europe countries to supply local customers their liquid and on-site and pipeline gas requirements.

This is the fourth ASU that SIAD has supplied in China along with the 14 ASUs SIAD Engineering (Hangzhou) has supplied outside of China in recent years.
